  • Overall fleet requirement is around 5% larger.
  • Better match with demand in corridor. Higher frequency of service and capacity in higher demand corridor sections.
  • Better match with demand outside corridor. Lower proportion of route length in corridor (62% vs 46% average length in corridor).
  • Significantly fewer transfers and higher demand can be expected.
  • Larger coverage: 100km vs 70km of roads covered with BRT service (including BRT corridor).
  • No transfer terminal needed, so Katsina Road station can be cancelled. Less need to consider transfer facilities at other locations along corridor. Additional off-corridor layover & turnaround facilities needed at route ends.
  • Higher impacts on existing services in off-corridor segments.
